About the Event
The American Freedom Foundation will host Warriors To The Workforce hiring and training workshops event presented by GES (Global Experience Specialist) in conjunction with the 2016 AUSA Annual Meeting and Exposition on October 3 - 5, 2016 in Washington, DC.  Booth #261. This one of a kind event is part of the American Freedom Foundation’s nationwide initiative to help veterans, transitioning military service members and military spouses find meaningful employment.  The event will bring together major companies from throughout the country to profile their services and provide employment opportunities for our veterans.  Attending veterans will have the chance to talk with employers and submit qualifications.

In addition to the hiring event, Warriors To The Workforce will include Workshops featuring some of the top speakers in the country.  Workshops will provide resources and information for veterans, transitioning military service members and military spouses to help them better transition to civilian life.  Presentations will include subjects such as mental readiness, confidence building, networking and presentation skills, resume writing, interviewing techniques, job searching, career planning through goal setting, translating military skills and training into civilian life and corporate experience, among others.  

Resume Review, presented by Veteran Staffing Network
Stop by the Veteran Staffing Network table at WTTW to sign up for a time slot to have your resume reviewed by an HR professional. Don't miss this opportunity to receive feedback and have your questions answered. Resume Review is free and available to veterans and military spouses. Reviews will be available each day of the WTTW event.

Facts about AUSA Annual Meeting & Exposition

  • The largest landpower exposition and professional development forum in North America
  • Over 600 Army & Industry exhibitors using 250,000 square feet of exhibit space
  • Attendees in recent years have included the Vice President of the United States, the Secretary of Defense, the Chief of Staff and Secretary of the Army
  • Professional development forums are held throughout the three days for soldiers, NCOs, officers, Army family members, and industry executives.

  • All exhibitor pricing is per day pricing and subject to change;  Please note discount by participating in more than one day.
  • Companies may register to attend 1-3 days of the conference
  • No more than 30 companies per day will be selected to participate, with a maximum of 90 companies over the three day conference
  • All individual working the exhibitor booths must have an AUSA badge to enter Warriors To The Workforce Hiring Event and Exhibit Hall.
  • Arrival Information for Exhibitors:  When you arrive on the first day of the event, please check in at AUSA Registration and get your badge. Then proceed to Booth #261 and check in with the American Freedom Foundation to find out where to set up.
  • Each exhibitor will receive 1 8 ft. table and 2 chairs. Please plan to bring your own tablecloth.

  • Veterans admission is free; 
  • All veterans, military transitioning service members, military spouses must have an AUSA Badge to enter Warriors To The Workforce Hiring Event and Exhibit Hall.
  • Arrival Information for Veterans:  When you arrive at the event, please check in at AUSA Registration and get your badge. Then proceed to Booth #261 and check in with the American Freedom Foundation.
  • Be prepared to meet employers;
  • Dress for success;
  • Bring enough resumes (Both private and government);
