  • About Good Samaritan Veterans Outreach and Transition Center                                        In December of 2011, the San Antonio City Council approved a partnership with the Alamo Community Colleges District and St. Philip's College to renovate the historic Good Samaritan Hospital, constructed in 1915 as the Corinth Baptist Church, converted in 1948 to a hospital for African-American patients in response to segregation, into a Veterans outreach center. Thus was born the Good Samaritan Veteran's Outreach and Transition Center.  GSVOTC provides personalized services to all Active Duty, Retired, Veterans and their families in the greater San Antonio Area, providing Veterans and their families with the information and free services that will ensure them a smooth transition into civilian life.  http://www.alamo.edu/spc/gsvotc/
